What do you get when you combine an electric guitar and a drum machine?
SeeJoeRock’s latest Featured Artist - MAdkins Music!
Our new featured artist is Morgan Adkins of MAdkins Music out of Northern Virginia/DC Metro Area. 
Morgan has been playing music since he was 8 years old when he picked up an electric guitar and never put it down. For the past 10 years, Morgan’s musical passion had been playing Classic Rock and doing his best to master songs and riffs from bands such as Van Halen.
His talents on the guitar surpassed musicians beyond his years and his skills in ‘tapping’ and playing intricate riffs came easily to him as if the music had become a part of his DNA.
In the past couple of years however, Morgan migrated his music into a new kind of genre - the one called EDM (Electronic Dance Music).
Why such a dramatic change?, asked to him. He said he felt somewhat limited when just playing the electric guitar - thinking, unless he became a part of a band, a classic rock or metal band, that he wouldn’t get to utilize his skills like he would want to in the future, so wanted to expand his musical talents in more areas.
Well, EDM definitely seems to be right up his ally. Starting out with just a Mac computer, Ableton Live and a Drum Machine (Akai MPD32), and influenced by the sounds of Daft Punk and CyberOptics - he found his own niche and started producing his own new sound.
Looking to hopefully create, compose and produce his own music that would maybe one day be heard on video games to commercials, his journey began and hasn’t stopped!
Only 17 years old and already having Indie labels such as Dream Crusher Media knocking at his door awaiting his latest creations, Morgan Adkins is paving his own way and letting his style be known!
Happy to report however, that he still picks up his guitar when he can since it was his true love.
